The original San Pedro cactus is one of the sacred cacti of South America. This cactus plays an important role in Shamanic culture for many centuries. The cactus comes from Bolivia containing psychoactive compounds. The most important is Mescaline. Echinopsis pachanoi (San Pedro) seeds are ultimately the easiest cactus to grow! 

It takes about a year for the seeds to produce roots, but once matured this cactus will then take on a life of its own and grow rapidly, about *10-50cm per year. 

A great plant for a rockery in the garden or as a single plant for your window.
