Cannabinoids

HomeCannabinoids

Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds that join cannabinoid receptors in the body and brain making up what’s called a cannabinoid system. They got their name because at first they were discovered in Cannabis Sativa or hemp plants. There are over 100 different cannabinoids, each is unique and has a different effect on the human body. The cannabinoids found in the body are called endocannabinoids, there are also synthetic cannabinoids artificially produced in the laboratory, and the phytocannabinoids – that come from the hemp plant. Cannabinoids participate in the human cannabinoid system by bounding with C1 or C2 cannabinoid receptors. Some of them like THC have psychotropic effects and some like CBD, CBG, CBC and others are non-psychoactive. Cannabinoids are involved in a large variety of physiological processes such as pain perception, memory, appetite, stress control, immune and even reproduction systems.
Cannabinoids are highly researched these days because of their potential benefits. Some of these research suggests that using cannabinoids might reduce anxiety, inflammation and pain, control nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, slow tumour growth and kill cancerous cells, relax tight muscles, stimulate appetite and improve weight gain.
Most of our products contain multiple cannabinoids, of which CBD is the main one
