Most commonly Chaga mushroom is consumed in a hot beverage. Chaga mushroom does taste a lot like coffee, it has earthy, slightly bitter flavour. It also contains some of vanilla scent. You can drink chaga mushroom straight, but the flavor may not be appealing to most.

There are no research about safety for pregnant or breastfeeding women, so better not to use Chaga during this period.
